Following her high school graduation, Kerstin Münstermann started her career in journalism with a traineeship at the Wiesbadener Tagblatt. After studying journalism in Munich and Washington, D.C., she held positions at various news agencies (dpa, the former dapd) and national newspapers, including DIE WELT. Following a five-year tenure as Chief Political Correspondent in Berlin for the Funke Media Group, she took over as head of the Rheinische Post’s parliamentary bureau in October 2020, additionally joining its senior editorial team in September 2023. Münstermann regularly appears as a political commentator on major German talk shows, including Markus Lanz, Caren Miosga, Maybrit Illner, maischberger, and the ARD Presseclub
