Danielle Arets is a professor of Design in Journalism at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Tilburg. The professorship focuses on journalistic transformation with an emphasis on digital developments, new forms of public engagement, and the (re)design of journalistic storytelling and expression. The team consists of journalists, designers, artists, AI experts, philosophers, and anthropologists.

(Re)Designing Journalism Leadership

This session explores how journalism leadership can be redesigned as a collective practice rooted in collaboration, dialogue and shared responsibility. Through a participatory dinner debate and panel discussion, we will gather newsroom insights and co-create a manifesto for human-centred, constructive and future-facing leadership in journalism.
